Poetry by David Pambianchi

City Girl with Lime Twist

A not so plain Jane,
Striped Bass over Asparagus
A no nonsense lady, gracious, attentive
Blue stars, orange roses

Waiting for the rain

Whisky and beer,
City girl with lime twist,
Shaking icy drinks in rhythm of sizzling blues

Waiting for the rain

Hair long and dark, pretty,
Augments not required,
Tattoos, memories of where she comes

Wine glasses clink, patrons pass time,
Sound and Silence, ready for first flight

Waiting for the rain
