Essay on Poetry by Jeff Bresee

I have always been an artistic person; however with pencils and paints, not writing. I came from a broken single parent home and I let the pressures of that life get to me. I started drinking and doing drugs at an early age of thirteen. By the time I was eighteen, I was a complete addict and had nearly ruined my life. I even spent thirty days in jail.
