The
Poetry of Abhay Kumar
Grandma
Grandma you may be gone
But you live for me
in the shining sun
in the glowing moon
in the twinkling stars
in the blowing wind
in the falling rain
in the smell of the wet earth after the first rains
in the fairytales
in those ripened guavas in my and your orchard
in the sweetness of those sugarcanes
which grow in the field
where I walked holding your finger
in my thoughts of the most beautiful lady
grandma you are always there
your body may be gone
but you live in me
and my stories
which I'll tell my children
and your great-grand children

I
believe
I believe time ceases to exist
When mind is lost
In thoughts
I believe fate does not exist
Until we aspire for something
I believe the world is more honest
Than corrupt
I believe that human beings are basically good
It's not in our nature to sin
I believe God exists
In you in me
In everything we see
I believe spirituality is stronger than religion
As it connects us to God without any mediation
I believe everyone falls in love
Though may be for a while
But for some it lasts the life-time
I believe we will live
Though many dooms day prophets won't let us believe
Through all difficulties and pain
And see ahead
Better days
