Tranquil and serene

            
Tranquil and serene

            lotus graces in muddy pools

            while mediator

            miles away

            chants

            om

            to the beat of the Dalai Lama's heart



            Tranquil and serene

            the days float endlessly by

            in non attachment

            emotions come

            and they go

            all is still

            inner strength

            delivers calm



            Tranquil and serene

            living

            amidst the chaos and concern

            of everyday life

            striving and stretching

            maxed out

            until

            Nirvana
