The Poetry Of T Owen Stark

Rush

And I shall face the hordes
The gathering masses
Loud and frenzied
For they
Like I
Await the snakes and arrows

We take our seats like good children
In a classroom
The hum lowers
The darkness of the stage fills with shadows
There is silence for a brief moment
The first chord emanates as light ignites
And all that are there become one
An underlying theme
Of this natural science
Of these moving pictures
Of our freewill

On this night
All the worlds a stage
And all of us move
Closer to the heart
