A
Poem by Abhay Kumar
A
writer asks
A writer asks...
In the wilderness of words
Will he find a place?
Or disappear in the library-dust
Will his words be read aloud?
Or anonymity will bury him down
But why to worry
Of the future and past
A writer must write
for the writing's sake

When
tomorrow comes
When tomorrow comes
Be ready for everything
For the best for the worst
For the mundane
For the boring too
When tomorrow comes
Life is not only about laughter and happiness
There are tears and sorrows too
Heartbreaks and loneliness
Pain and disappointments
Aging and losing one by one everyone near and dear
Life is not only laughter and happiness
So when tomorrow comes
Be ready for everything
Good or bad
Pleasure or pain
Take all in your stride
Because that is life
Future opens slowly
One day at a time
Moment by moment
Making dreams real
Shattering many too
When tomorrow comes
Would you cry
For the broken dreams
For the unfulfilled promises
Or celebrate
For a new beginning
For a brand new day
When tomorrow comes
Be ready for everything
For the best for the worst
For the mundane
For the boring too
When tomorrow comes

Man-1
What is man but a puppet
Manipulated by the strings of fate
Swinging between
Pain and pleasure
Life and death
Now and eternity
Survival and extinction
Freedom and domination
What is man but a puppet
Yet at times when tragedy hits and
He looks beyond the self
With hope and resilience
Faith and conviction
Even fate takes a turn
What is man but a puppet
Yet only man can decide or choose
Not what he was but what man could be
