Spirit or Lens Flare?
What Do You See?
by Shirley Allard

I recently attended a wedding in Kingston, RI which ended with a moment of silence for the bride's uncle. He unfortunately died at sea some years ago when he fell off the fishing boat from which he made his living. He was never found...lost at sea. Her wedding was held on the anniversary of his death, hence the moment of silence in his honor.

The wedding party made their way through a wooded trail to reach the beautiful outdoor chapel where they chose to hold their ceremony. After they had left I was still taking pictures.

Something made me choose this trail rather than the one I came in through and at the end I turned and took one last photo of the bridal path. Looking at my preview I took another shot thinking the sun had produced a lens flare. It wasn't until later when I was scanning through my photos that I really looked at it. I've heard of these photos and I'm not beyond believing in spirits but I've never met one before nor am I a professional photographer so between the Ghost Busters and the Professionals I'm asking you –

What Do You See? Spirit or Lens Flare?

Now You See it.
This photo was taken as I turned to leave the path.

Now You Don't!
This photo was taken of the same path seconds later.
