THE ADVENTURES OF DEREK THE RED

Tulip Town
Along the roadside
Tulips of all colors grew.
The rider was amazed
And it quenched his weary eyes.
Soon a town appeared.
A sign was posted
On the right side of the road.
"Welcome Tulip Town,"
A bizarre yet perfect name,
For this lovely place .
Then he saw something unique,
Each tulip had a small stone.

Enter Tulip Town

Jumping from his horse,
He walked toward the tulips.
Then he heard shouting,
"Arm yourselves! Save the village!"
"It's Derek the Red!"
Jumping quickly on his horse,
With hopes of escape,
When one mighty voice stated.
"Do not harm this man"
An old man was standing there,
Dressed in noble cloth ,
But his face was badly scarred.
"This man is quite strange,"
Derek the Red said quietly.
But to the old man,
Derek looked somewhat evil.
His long hair was red,
And he wore dark black leather
With horns on his head .
"Stranger enter the Village,"
Ordered the old man.
"Please lay down your sword and spear."
"You will have no need of them here"
